The impact of trade and investment policies on productive and decent employment in Tunisia

This document summarizes the policy implications derived by three studies conducted in Tunisia by the METI programme, and their respective policy recommendations. It emphasizes the importance of aligning trade and investment policies with employment goals to address labour market challenges and leverage economic opportunities in Tunisia.

METI is a four-year programme funded by the EU and implemented by the ILO. Designed to enable policymakers in the Southern Mediterranean to integrate employment perspectives into trade and investment policies, enhancing both the quality and quantity of job creation in the region.
