ILO/EIIP support to the Expanded Public Works Programme in South Africa
ILO/EIIP is providing support to the Expanded Public Works Programme in key thematic areas including Policy Development and Promotion, Skills/Capacity Development, Project Management and Technical Support, Research and Innovation, and Advocacy and Partnership.
The ILO has been working with the South African Government since 1994. The Employment Intensive Investment Programme (EIIP) started to provide technical assistance to the Limpopo province in 2000. Today, the EIIP is providing support to the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) in key thematic areas including Policy Development and Promotion, Skills/Capacity Development, Project Management and Technical Support, Research and Innovation, and Advocacy and Partnership.
