ILO Regional Strategy on Labour Migration and Human Mobility in Latin America and the Caribbean 2023–2030
The Regional Strategy seeks to outline the strategic horizon for the ILO’s action in the region and to guide the Organization’s technical assistance on labour migration and human mobility.
Labour migration and human mobility are critical issues in Latin America and the Caribbean, as most countries in the region —whether countries of origin, transit, or destination— are part of regional and global migration flows.
This Regional Strategy, made up of 9 strategic pillars of work, divided into 5 thematic areas and 4 cross-cutting approaches, has been endorsed by 37 countries and territories, as reflected in the respective Conclusions documents of three subregional meetings.
