How many hours are worked in Latin America and the Caribbean? Indicators of working time and its organisation

The time people spend on paid work is generating growing interest in international comparisons as a measure of well-being. However, measuring it requires consensus on the concepts, data sources, and methodologies used.
This note presents the best-known statistical indicators, which are “actual hours” and “usual hours” worked per week, as well as measures related to the distribution of working time, which contribute to the analysis of the current situation in Latin America and the Caribbean in this area.
