Handbook on policy areas to reduce youth in NEET status

Over the years, a wide array of policy responses to reduce the number of youth not in employment, education or training (NEETs) has been developed and tested. This Handbook aims to highlight such measures and policies, and to encourage countries to move towards an integrated policy framework that could drive accelerate progress on their national SDG target 8.6 to reduce youth NEET rates by 2030. The guide draws upon existing national measures for learning purposes, with measures framed in accordance with the intervention’s primary objective, be it prevention, outreach and engagement, (re)integration or assisting the unemployed.
