Skills training on food and beverage services

Food and beverage service skills training and development programme in hospitality industry for the internally displaced persons (IDPs) and its host marginalized communities

The service skills training programme was conducted by Garden Orchid Hotel and in partnership with the International Labour Organization (ILO) to enhance the capacity and capability of the IDP communities to access income-generating opportunities and employment which are decent, competitive and sustainable in the field of Hospitality Industry focusing in Food and Beverage Service.

The specific objectives of the training were: (a) for the IDPs to acquire the knowledge and skills in the field of Hospitality Industry, particularly in Food and Beverage Service; and (b) to provide the actual exposures, social skills and the discipline needed for to be an effective and efficient Professional Service Provider, thereby acquiring a suitable job after the training programme.
