Fact sheet on girl child labour
Girls, alongside with boys, are often engaged in heavy work for long hours. Nationally, 0.4 million girls and 0.6 million boys among children aged 10-14 were working in 2007 (National Labour Force Survey, BPS).
There are four major works that Indonesian girl child labourers are engaged:
Child Domestic Workers;
Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC);
Child trafficking;
Street Children.
