Employing returning migrant workers' to support their professional reintegration

The Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF) in technical cooperation with the ILO’s programme for “Promoting Decent Work through Improved Migration Policy and its Application in Bangladesh”, which is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, has taken an initiative to explore professional reintegration of the returning workers. The first ever job-fair organized by the BEF, provides indications of promising interventions that could inspire future professional reintegration strategies. The information booklet, available in English and Bangla, provide information that the workers, employers, companies, decision-makers and the NGOs could look into to develop actions in an area that, despite its relevance for a large size skilled workforce who have returned from short term employment abroad, has not been paid much attention.
