Employers support to the promotion of rights and protection of domestic workers

The Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) recognizes and acknowledges the crucial role that domestic workers play in our economy and society. ECOP believes that the maintenance of industrial peace and harmonious employee-employer relations must not only be at the plant level, but should also be enjoyed at the household level

Domestic workers have important roles in employers' family lives as well as in their economic activities. They enable families, especially the middle income earners, to send their children to school while earning a living for the family without sacrificing their duties and responsibilities in caring for the household and rearing their children. They allow the family to have at least two income earners either working in the formal sector or engaging in business or trade.
