Driving change through social dialogue: How the ILO is strengthening tripartism and social dialogue through development cooperation projects

Evidence from a sample of 201 independent evaluations shows the extent to which the ILO has successfully promoted the mainstreaming of social dialogue and tripartism in development cooperation projects. The insights presented in this paper can help ILO practitioners, governments, employers, and workers’ organizations design more effective, resilient projects that position social dialogue as a foundation for sustainable development and long-term impact.
