Diagnostic study of the informal economy in the Occupied Palestinian Territory: The garment and textile, and nursery and kindergarten sectors

This study facilitates a better understanding of the informal economy in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including the characteristics of workers and enterprises, existing policies and actors, and the main drivers of informality in two selected sectors: the garment and textile sector, and the nursery and kindergarten sector. Its analysis and recommendations offer a basis for stakeholders to monitor the reduction of informality and decent work deficits, both as a result of formalization, but also as an enabling condition for formalization – whether by addressing the specific needs of particular groups of workers and enterprises, or by tackling different forms of informality through appropriate measures.
