Since 2020, the ILO PROSPECTS programme has been working in Lebanon to expand opportunities, especially in the agricultural sector, for both host communities and refugees by strengthening access to decent work, skills development, and social protection. Implemented in close partnership with national institutions, employers’ and workers’ organizations, and local stakeholders, the first phase of the programme focused on building more inclusive labour markets that respond to Lebanon’s challenges while offering pathways for resilience and recovery.

This brochure presents key results from the first phase in Lebanon, while also offering a sneak peek into the initiatives of the second phase—structured to further expanding impact, strengthening partnerships, and supporting longer-term solutions for both refugees and host communities.

The PROSPECTS Partenrship is spearheaded by the Government of the Netherlands. It brings together the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the World Bank to help transform the way in which governments and other stakeholders, including the private sector, respond to forced displacement crises.
