In conditions of freedom and dignity: Pathways to racial equality in the world of work
Racial discrimination denies a person equal opportunities to develop and realize their potential. It impacts not only individuals but also affects workplaces, enterprises, labour markets, societies and economies. This publication aims to support ILO constituents in tackling racial discrimination and to promote social dialogue towards this goal. It seeks to raise awareness about racial discrimination through data and statistical analyses and reviews laws and policies seeking to address such discrimination. The publication proposes eight pathways to racial equality that ILO constituents and policymakers may wish to consider when taking action to promote equality of opportunity and treatment for all.
