Collective Bargaining in Viet Nam

Collective bargaining was established in the first Labour Code of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 1994, in which trade unions are assigned to represent workers in collective bargaining with the employer at all levels. However, discussions remain open on whether trade union should take their stand as the bridge or the representative for workers in the bargaining process. The papers discusses characteristics of the two mentioned role.
