Botswana National Occupational Safety and Health Policy

This is the first National Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Policy for Botswana. The policy is in line with the Botswana Vision 2036 aspiration to attain sustainable development driven by high levels of productivity, in which the critical role of human capital, and the importance of good health and wellness are recognized as basic human rights for men and women in their work environment, and necessary conditions for achieving sustainable development.

The policy provides a framework for establishing systems that foster a safe and healthy workplace, which should contribute to productivity, improved service delivery, and reduction of the cost of doing business.
