Bilateral labour migration agreements: Lessons for consideration in the context of climate change and migration in the Pacific Island countries

This report has been produced as part of the Pacific Climate Change, Migration and Human Security – Phase II (PCCMHS) programme. It provides an in-depth analysis of the extent to which BLMAs can address the challenges and opportunities arising from climate-related mobility. Drawing on global practices, international and regional guidance frameworks, and the specific realities of the Pacific, the report identifies practical and rights-based approaches to strengthen the design and implementation of BLMAs in the context of climate change.
