Assessment of the Legal Frameworks for Access to Complaints and Remedy Procedures by Migrant Workers in and from Kenya and Uganda

This assessment examines the legal and institutional frameworks in Uganda and Kenya, two major origin countries for migrant workers in the East and Horn of Africa region. It evaluates the extent to which their domestic systems uphold migrant workers’ rights to access justice and how these align with regional and international standards. Through desk research and stakeholder consultations, the report identifies strengths, gaps, and areas for legal procedural reform.
