Assessing the Role of Employers in Improving Labour Migration Governance in Uganda

This report offers an evidence-based guidance and recommendation on how employers contribute to improving the governance of labour migration. It also highlights the growing importance of private employment agencies (PrEAs), many of whom are not yet affiliated with employer organizations such as FUE to affiliate with such organizations. The report draws attention to challenges in recruitment and underscores the need for stronger regulation, better collaboration, and more meaningful employer engagement in both policy formulation and implementation.
