Assessing the capacity of law enforcement agencies to address child labour in Pakistan
This study assesses the capacities of national and provincial law enforcement agencies responsible for addressing child labour in Pakistan. With a view to ensure the relevance and responsiveness of a planned capacity building initiative, findings of this assessment inform the design of evidence-based training programme, which aims to enhance the capacities and intern-agency coordination of law enforcement agencies to prevent and eliminate child labour nationwide.
This study was commissioned by the International Labour Organization (ILO) under the Asia Regional Child Labour (ARC)Project, with the financial support of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) of the United Kingdom. The Project aims to reduce children’s vulnerability to child labour and protect them from exploitation.
This study assesses the capacities of national and provincial law enforcement agencies responsible for addressing child labour in Pakistan, with a view to informing the design of evidence-based programmes to enhance their capacities to eliminate child labour nationwide.
