From Active Employment Policies to the Employment Promotion Law

Active employment policies in China are systematic and comprehensive and have benefitted from international experience in their formulation. Great achievements have been made and the adoption of the Employment Promotion Law in 208 was well received by the international community as well as the ILO. The Chinese experience is a good example of a successful policy development process, spanning many years, addressing huge challenges and devoting the necessary resources.
