Access to health services for people living with HIV/AIDs (PLwHA) participating in the National Health Insurance (JKN) in Denpasar, South Jakarta and Makassar (in Bahasa Indonesia)

This research is intended to learn from the situation of JKN utilization to support HIV services in three major cities in Indonesia with a high HIV prevalence, so that they can portray the use, obstacles and needs of patient-oriented programs.

A study of improved social protection among people living with HIV and key affected populations has shown the current situation of how PLWHA and key affected populations can access health services for care by utilizing national health insurance. The findings of this study can provide input and strategic recommendations to improve access to health services and HIV / AIDS treatment and fulfill the right to universal health coverage.
