Reskilling women and vulnerable groups for employment and recovery

This intervention addresses critical employment challenges caused by the ongoing war in Ukraine, targeting specifically women and vulnerable groups, including internally displaced persons (IDPs), war veterans, and persons with disabilities in the Kyiv region. Utilizing the ILO’s Local Employment Partnership (LEP) approach, the intervention aims to enhance employment opportunities through tailored skills training, support for entrepreneurship, and improved employment services. It is implemented in close collaboration with national and local government bodies, the State Employment Service, employers’ and workers’ organizations, training providers, as well as in coordination with international agencies such as UN Women, IOM, and UNHCR.

The project is implemented under the ILO Initiative on Decent Work for Peace and advances the application of decent work principles in crisis response, aligning implementation with the HDP Nexus approach.
