The Law-Growth Nexus Project is a NORAD funded project of the International Labour Organization (ILO) that seeks to promote compliance with the labour law among Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through policy, legal and regulatory reform on one hand, and MSME capacity building support on the other hand. In the first project phase 2009-11, emphasis was laid on building up an evidence base about the labour law in twelve African countries, and the compliance challenges faced by local MSME. In the second phase 2011-13, an integrated approach has been piloted in Kenya and Zambia that combines regulatory reform with capacity building support for MSME in selected priority sectors to boost compliance rates and business growth.

Objectives and expected outcomes
• To increase awareness, respect and adherence to Law (labour) especially among Micro, Small and Medium scale Enterprise in Kenya with focus to Transport sector.
• To facilitate tripartite members on how to design policies for the best practise to transport subsector.
• Capacity building among Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs on Organization Development, financial control and social economical challenges such as HIV and gender inequality.
Implementation Strategy
• The use of communication technology tool by developing phone application where different people will be able to access it and use
• Use of tripartism to ensure effectiveness and inclusiveness in decision for easy implementation of resolutions
• Use of social dialogue to uncover challenges and address them e.g gender inequality and HIV/AIDS
