Jobs and Skills for Persons with Disabilities with a Focus on ICT-based Solutions- Phase II
This United Nations joint programme is implemented by three partners: ILO, UNDP, and the Egyptian ICT Trust Fund. The implementation strategy uses approaches that are participatory, inclusive, and community-based, in close partnership with the most relevant stakeholders: government agencies, non-governmental organizations, disabled people’s organizations, workers’ unions and employers’ organizations.

Project background:
The "Jobs and Skills for Persons with Disabilities with a focus on ICT-based solutions" project is based on a partnership between the ILO, UNDP and the Egyptian ICT Trust Fund. The ILO is concerned with this issue in order to overcome the difficulties faced by persons with disabilities.
The project aims to stimulate the integration of persons with disabilities into the labour market through the implementation of various activities to raise awareness among the community, employers and service providers of the importance of employing persons with disabilities.
The project supports building the capacities of the service providers from ministries, companies, NGOs and organizations of people with disabilities by providing them with all the technological equipment and tools suitable for the integration of persons with disabilities into professional training and work environment.
Objectives and expected outcomes:
Capacity of the national level stakeholders is built to sustain the inclusion of women and men with disabilities in skills development and decent employment.
Enhanced coordination amongst key stakeholders at the governorate level on a referral system for social, training, and employment services for persons with disabilities.
