Comply with Fundamental Rights at Work in Costa Rica

Costa Rica has a solid national and international regulatory framework regarding fundamental rights at work. This constitutes an opportunity to develop strategies that can contribute to better compliance with existing regulations. For that reason, the ultimate outcome of this intervention is to improve an effective compliance with labour legislation, particularly those related to fundamental principles and rights at work.

To achieve this ultimate outcome, the work is based on two intermediate outcomes:

1. Improved implementation of strategies to ensure compliance by Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MTSS) and social partners.
2. Improved implementation of strategies for the reduction of barriers to gender inequalities and disadvantages at work by Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MTSS) and social partners.
