Advancing Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work on Forced Labour and Child Labour in Malaysia (Electrical and Electronics Sector)

The electrical and electronics (E&E) sector is a vital component of Malaysia’s economy, driving innovation, exports, and employment. As part of global supply chains, it is crucial for the sector to maintain its global reputation and ensuring fair treatment for all workers.

The ADVANCE project is dedicated to promoting fundamental principles and rights at work, focusing on the elimination of forced labour and child labour within Malaysia’s E&E industry.

The project aims to assist Malaysia in improving labour rights and working conditions, particularly for vulnerable workers, through a broader and more sustainable approach. This project advances the implementation of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work (FPRW) in national and sectoral plans, including the National Action Plan on Forced Labour, and is aligned with Priority 1: Rights at Work under Malaysia’s Decent Work Country Programme.
