Detailed information on requested documents

1. Approval of supervisor

You must provide written approval from your direct supervisor, and if not the same person, your department head or country director.

An email is acceptable, but it must be submitted as a PDF.

Applications without this approval will not be considered.

2. Resume (CV)

Your CV must be in PDF or word format, in English, French or Spanish.

ILO resume (from ILO people) is accepted.

3. Donor approval (DC staff only)

Staff working on DC projects must upload written approval from their donor focal point.

Please note:

  • EU agencies generally do not allow staff to participate in activities outside the project workplan.
  • Staff funded through multiple DC sources (and/or PSI, etc.) must submit written confirmation from their supervisor stating that participation does not require prior donor approval.

4. Confirmation of funding for travel costs/DSA

If your office or project can cover part or all of your mission costs (international travel and DSA), please upload written approval of the budget holder (i.e., CTA for DC project, director for RB funds).

Funding your own mission is not mandatory and not being able to cover your own costs will not exclude you from consideration.

5. UNLP

Copy of the UNLP will be asked only if you are selected.

To travel, you must hold a UNLP valid for at least six months beyond the end date of the mission.

If you do not currently have a valid UNLP, you may request one only if selected, but please consider the processing and delivery time.

Important: If you previously had a UNLP issued by another UN agency and have not since been issued an ILO one, please contact your former office to ensure that the old UNLP has been returned and cancelled. This situation has caused issues in the past.
