Artem Asatryan was appointed Armenia’s Minister of Labour and Social Affairs

He was born in Yerevan in 1972.
He graduated from Department of State Regulation of Economy, Yerevan Institute of National Economy, and the School of Management. He holds PhD in economics.
In 1998 he headed the Benefits Division of the Pension Insurance Department, Armenia Pension and Employment Fund.
In 1998-2006 Asatryan heads the Pension Insurance Department of the Ministry of Social Protection (as of January 2002, Pension Insurance and Social Security Department).
In 2006-2007 he was director of National Institute of Labour and Social Research, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
n 2007-2011 he worked as Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Affairs.
He underwent traineeship on pension reform in Sweden, Bulgaria, Poland, the United States, Austria, Israel and Ukraine.
Married with three children.
