Webinar: Large and multinational cooperative enterprises advancing decent work across supply chains

Cooperatives come in many forms: small or medium-sized that primarily serve their local communities, as well as large and multinational cooperatives that play an important role in global economy and contribute to advancing decent work in supply chains.

Drawing on concrete examples across regions and in different economic sectors, the webinar will showcase how large and multinational cooperative enterprises promote and implement decent work principles within their supply chains, including integrating due diligence in their operations.

This webinar aims to:  

  • Contribute to International Year of Cooperatives 2025 by situating large and multinational cooperative enterprises as key actors in shaping fair and sustainable globalization.
  • Showcase concrete experiences and challenges of large and multinational cooperative enterprises in advancing cooperative principles and decent work across domestic and global supply chains.
  • Present the ILO's approach to promoting decent work in supply chains.
  • Present the ICETT and the Cooperatives and Mutuals Leadership Circle (CM50) initiative.
  • Enhance understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by large and multinational cooperatives in advancing decent work.
