UN Bloggers Forum on Better Job Opportunities
Bloggers from the Philippines will interact and discuss issues with the ILO in relation to better job opportunities, youth employment and child labour.
The United Nations in the Philippines is holding a bloggers’ chat series on issues that are relevant to many Filipinos and that may influence the next stage of global development planning under the Post-2015 development agenda.
Bloggers will have a chance to interact in an informal, roundtable chat with heads of the UN agencies in the Philippines. Mr Lawrence Jeff Johnson, Director of the ILO Country Office for the Philippines will talk about better job opportunities, youth employment and child labour issues in the Philippines. Initial results of the My World survey showed that most Filipinos have recognized the need for more and better job opportunities.
By the end of October, the UN will give recognize best blogs based on online postings and will award a digital UN Advocate badge.
