Training Workshops on Unemployment Registration for Social Security Participants through LMIS integration in the South Part of Lao PDR

A total of 60 representatives (21 females) from job centres, social security offices, Labour protection agencies, Skills Development and Employment, Office of Labour and Social Welfare and ILO Country Office for Lao PDR was also represented at the training workshop. Participants were increase their knowledge on the agreement of unemployment registration for social security member and increase their capacity on register unemployment by using LMIS.

The method of coordination with sectors relevance and the role between Job center and social security office about registration unemployment by LMIS, increase the coordination between various sectors with in provincial level and central.

Participants had their knowledge series on unemployment registration for social security members by using LMIS. Participants discussed on the registration form and shared about challenges of unemployment registration in Public Employment Service in the past. Course moderators encouraged and recommended participants to utilize LMIS to record the personal information of social security members with the aim to conduct profiling of job seekers and promote their re-employment.
