THAMM Programme “Capitalization, Results, and Perspectives” Ceremony

The purpose of the ceremony was to provide a space to reflect and capitalize on the programme outcomes and celebrate achievements with the programme’s stakeholders, who also provided perspectives on the future of labour mobility in Egypt.

The various components of the THAMM Programme, which is funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), demonstrated a holistic approach to labour migration governance and labour mobility. Its activities represent concrete examples for multistakeholder engagement on improving labour migration governance frameworks; support skills recognition and qualification mechanisms; availing statistical data; establishing mobility schemes and strengthening sub-regional dialogue and cooperation.

The ceremony was yet another opportunity for the national partners to share lessons learned, present the main results achieved and how to benefit from them for future endeavors related to labour migration and mobility.

The THAMM Ceremony also highlighted the programme’s unique governance structure that included more than 15 government entities, and social partners . The participants celebrated managing such a complex and multi-stakeholder set-up in a coordinated and effective manner to achieve the objectives of the programme.
