Tenth meeting of the Standards Review Mechanism Tripartite Working Group (SRM TWG)

The tenth meeting of the Standards Review Mechanism Tripartite Working Group will take place from 14-18 September 2026, when it will review instruments on working time, including night work.

The SRM TWG will review three instruments on hours of work, two instruments on annual leave, two instruments on night work, three instruments on night work of women, two instruments on part-time work, and two instruments on working time in road transport. It will also examine the follow-up to be taken to four instruments on annual leave, one instrument on night work, and two instruments on working time in glass work, all of which have been previously determined to be outdated.

Preparatory documents

A series of preparatory documents has been created to facilitate discussions at this meeting. The first group of documents concern the SRM TWG’s review of instruments on working time, and the examination of the follow-up to related outdated instruments. The second consists of documents concerning the SRM TWG’s internal work plan, the implementation of previous SRM TWG recommendations, and arrangements for subsequent meetings. Lastly, two working documents have been prepared, concerning the outcome of the meeting on the follow-up to outdated Conventions and the evaluation of the implementation of the plans of action on follow-up to the recommendations on the Unemployment Convention, 1919 (No. 2).

Government information session

On 1 September 2026, the Office held an information session for governments. The purpose of this session was to share information on the SRM TWG’s tenth meeting and in particular to introduce the documents prepared by the Office to facilitate the work of the tripartite working group. Approximately, 60 representatives of governments attended the information session.
