Sub-Regional Training on National Strategies to ensure OSH for young workers.

The Training is organized by the SafeYouth@Work project in close collaboration with ILO - International Training Centre (ITC). 30 participants as policy makers, officials from government institutions, representatives from workers’ and employers’ organizations as well as youth unions from four countries, including Viet Nam, Myanmar, Indonesia, and the Philippines attend the course.

The objective of this course is to strengthen the capacity of tripartite plus stakeholders to plan, develop and manage efforts to improve national OSH systems so that they can effectively protect young workers.

Presentations, group work and a study visit are used as training methodology to provide an interactive and appealing learning platform for attended participants. It is expected that an informed dialogue and discussion is taken place during the classes in order to enable participants to better integrate their knowledge and experiences and more fully understand the breadth of topics. An online distance-learning platform is also developed to offer a wide range of useful training materials on OSH and a forum for the participants to exchange their ideas and OSH initiatives.

The training is delivered by ILO-ITC Trainers and SafeYouth@Work experts and officials.
