Info session
Social security programmes for non-wage recipients’ workers in coffee farmer communities in Tanggamus District, Lampung Province
The objective of the information session is to raise awareness of social security programmes that coffee farmers and coffee farm workers (non-wage recipients/BPU) in Tanggamus District, Lampung, are eligible to access.
A survey conducted by the ILO Vision Zero Fund and Nestlé in Tanggamus District, Lampung Province, found that the majority of farmers and coffee processing workers in the district lack social security coverage. Social security programmes in Indonesia are administered by two organizations: the National Health Insurance (JKN) managed by BPJS Kesehatan (Social Security Administering Agency for Health) and employment-related programs such as Death Security (JKM/Jaminan Kematian), Employment Injury Security (JKK/Jaminan Kecelakaan Kerja), Old Age Security (JHT/Jaminan Hari Tua), Pension Security (JP/Jaminan Pensiun), and Job Loss Security (JKP/Jaminan Kehilangan Pekerjaan).
The information session on April 28, 2025, aims to raise awareness of social security programmes for coffee farmers and non-wage recipients in Tanggamus District. The session will provide coffee farming communities with information about their entitlements and obligations, discuss difficulties faced by farmers, and encourage them to register for and actively participate in existing social security programmes.
