Seminar on Capacity building in the field of labour statistics, employment and labour underutilization
Participants of a seminar in Moldova learnt about new statistical indicators.
The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has initiated activities under the Decent Work Country Programme 2016-2020 of the Republic of Moldova to implement a new international statistical standard - Resolution concerning statistics of work, employment and labour underutilisation”, adopted at the 19th International Conference of Labour Statisticians (19th ICLS, Geneva, 2013).
In this context, a seminar was organized on May 20, 2016 to inform participants about the new concepts, definitions and indicators, adopted by the above–mentioned resolution. Indicators calculated on labour underutilization, concepts, definitions and formulas have been disseminated on the official web page of the NBS under Press releases.
The seminar was addressed to the producers and users of official statistics on the labour market. This event was attended by representatives of central public authorities, international organizations and non-governmental organizations, academia.
