Second Meeting of People with Disabilities Employment Portal Consortium

A 2012 ILO discussion paper on employment issues with PWDs recommended development of range of online resources and services to support employers, disabled people's organizations and PWDs to develop and take advantage of employment opportunities was validated at a stakeholders workshop, which recommended the formation of a consortium to take forward the concept of an expanded PWD portal. The first meeting of consortium recommended the preparation of a development plan with technical, managerial and finance resources, alongwith a strategy to ensure a suitable time-bound business model. Led by the ILO, in collaboration with LCD South Asia and Accenture, the second meeting will finalize steps towards preparing the development plan.
