Promoting Decent Work for Migrant Health Professionals
The EU funded Decent Work Across Borders: A pilot project for migrant health professionals and skilled workers was launched on 6 July 2012 in Manila. The project's advisory committee composed of representatives of the government, employers, trade union and professional organizations meet and endorse the three-year project to be implemented in the Philippines, India and Viet Nam as major source countries of health professionals bound to Europe. The project aims to better understand temporary migration schemes and develop adequate services for this particular group of migrant workers.
