Private Sectors Provided Inputs in the Process of Drafting TVET Law of Cambodia

With support from ILO-China Partnership Programme, the Cambodia Federation of Employers and Trade Association (CAMFEBA) organized a consultation workshop with its members to discuss about and collect inputs to the draft TVET Law by the Government, as a key step of social dialogue

A total of 70 participants (17 females), representing private sectors, Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, Sector Skills Council and ILO, met together and discussed about the draft law on 1 June 2023. The representatives from MLVT were invited to present this draft during the workshop. This draft law consisted of 12 Chapters and 68 articles with legal definition and provisions of a comprehensive and unified system of Technical and Vocational Education and Training.

This workshop was one of many key activities for the private sectors to engage in labour legislation process. The comments and inputs from private sectors were collected and CAMFEBA plans to make a position paper on this draft TVET Law to the drafting committee.
