Peer-to-Peer Workshop of Cooperation and Exchange between Yunnan Advanced Technical School of Electronic Information and Lao-German Technical College , via zoom on 19 January 2022

Mr Wei Fan pointed out in his speech that China and Laos are connected by mountains and rivers. The opening of the China-Laos Railway connects China and Laos, especially Yunnan Province tightly together. The Institute is very keen to be pairing with Lao-German Technical College. He suggested that the two sides jointly set up a cooperation focal points, establish a working mechanism and design implementation plans.

Mr Khamsavay Gnommilavong, Director of Lao-German Technical College, mentions that he was very pleased to become a partner with Yunnan Advanced Technical School of Electronic Information in China. The opening of the Lao-China railway can help the two countries carry out cooperation and exchanges better. He hoped to learn from the advanced experience of China's technical education and skilled personnel training through cooperation, so as to further improve the professional construction, teachers' ability and students' technical skills of Lao-German Technical College.
Participants exchanges their experiences and challenging of skills development. The two sides agreed to set up a cooperation working group to promote cooperation in the areas of curriculum development, TOT and organize exchange programme of trainers and trainees.

Mr. Yutong Liu made his comments at the closing session. He observed that the workshop went very smoothly in the spirit of frankness and cooperation. The two sides shared information on school-operation, skills development and reducing poverty through skills training to disadvantaged youth, which fully reflected the spirit advocated by the South-South Cooperation. The ILO-China Skills Development Project will provide technical support for cooperation in the areas agreed by both TVETs.
