Organized National Skills Competition, Lao People's Democratic Republic
ILO-China Partnership Programme, in close collaboration with Skills Development Institute, Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of Lao PDR jointly organized National Skills Competition in the sector of Electrical Installation
A total of 80 participants (16 female) contested in this national skills event, representing Skills Development Institute, Lao-German Technical College, Vocational Education and Development Institute, Lao-Hanoi Technical Vocational College, Pakpasak Technical College, Manosin and Design Institute and Vientiane Skills Development Center.
The skills competition of Lao PDR covers five sectors, including Electrical Installation, Fashion Technology, Web design, Graphic design and Cooking.
There are 10 outstanding contestants, who were selected to be representatives of Lao PDR to compete in 13th ASEAN Skills Competition in Singapore.
The contestants will continue their skills training with experts from within the country. Contestants on skills sectors of electrical installation and cooking will participate in an intensified coaching programme with Yunnan Technician College in China.
