National tripartite consultative workshop 2015 on minimum wage in Cambodia

One the ILO’s LSGSC project priorities is to ensure an improved minimum wage fixing mechanism through evidence-based and participatory consultation. As part of its activities, the ILO’s LSGSC project supported Cambodia’s Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MLVT) to organize “national tripartite consultative workshop on minimum wage” (held on 8 September 2015) with main objective to strengthen participatory mechanism of minimum wage consultation in Cambodia. The workshop was joined by all important representatives of tripartite constituents working in Cambodia’s garment and footwear sector and a very open discussion is observed.
