To support the local economic development, especially for the Ethnic Minority, a Community-Based Tourism (CBT) network has been discussed to establish among all the development organizations that have been working for a longtime in job creation and poverty reduction through tourism such as ILO, UNESCO, Helvetas, Caritas. This network will allow for practitioners’ exchange as well as focusing on establishing new guidelines and policies for current and future CBT projects.
The idea of a CBT network for all the CBT villages/units in Viet Nam has been raised up by some organizations. The workshop will present the concept of the CBT network with all the participations of relevant key stakeholders at national level.
