Launch of the ILO-UK-UM partnership for the integration of STEM-related generic skills into TVET and skills training

The ILO-led Skills for Prosperity Programme, funded by the United Kingdom government, and the Universiti Malaya launch a partnership, aiming to increase employment and career progression opportunities of TVET students and trainees, especially women, youth and those from the marginalised and vulnerable groups.

The partnership for the integration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)-related generic skills into technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and skills training.
The ILO-led Skills for Prosperity Programme in Malaysia, the Universiti Malaya and the United Kingdom government team up to strengthen the quality of TVET and skills training. This partnership aims to increase the employment and career progression opportunities of TVET and skills trainees, particularly women and youth, through the acquisition of STEM-related generic skills, in the food processing and construction industries.
