Launch of the Employment Policy Action Facility (EPAF)

The launch of the Employment Policy Action Facility (EPAF) aims at increasing awareness of ILO’s support to member States on comprehensive employment policies, including in the areas of employment diagnostics, policy design, implementation, financing, and monitoring.

Background

The ILO’s Employment Policy Action Facility (EPAF) is a knowledge sharing and technical assistance platform, which aims at providing evidence-based, timely and relevant support to member States and social partners in developing, formulating, implementing and reviewing employment policies in line with current and future challenges.

EPAF brings together the latest evidence, frontier expertise, and innovative tools that ILO provides to support country-level work on comprehensive employment policies. The newly created web-based platform houses the key materials that communicates ILO’s offer for constituents with the objective of stimulating further work and innovations in this area.

This virtual launch event will feature discussions on the ILO approach to employment policies in a changing world of work and a presentation of the platform and its service offer on comprehensive employment strategies that promote decent jobs for all to intended users.

Representatives from governments and from workers’ and employers’ organization will also share their experiences and reflect on the relevance of EPAF for their future needs and priorities.
