Job Fair in Phnom Penh Opens Doors to Job Seekers

As many as 3,230 job seekers joined the event. The job fair becomes a pivotal milestone in bridging the gap between employers and job seekers in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.


As Cambodia's economy steadily grows, the demand for a skilled workforce has also witnessed a surge. Recognizing this need, the NEA and ILO-China Partnership Programme have collaborated to provide a platform where job seekers can explore a wide array of employment opportunities from various industries.

The fair features over 25 companies representing sectors of technology, finance, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, and more. Participating employers offered a wide range of positions for as many as 4,500 vacancies, from entry-level roles to senior management positions, catering to job seekers with varying qualifications and experiences. The job fair opened doors to job seekers who have submitted 2,845 application and 318 candidates were interviewed on site. As a result, 236 applicants got job offers at the event.


The job fair, spanning over two days, have also featured workshops, seminars, and career counseling sessions aimed at empowering job seekers with valuable skills and insights into the job market. A total of 711 students and job seekers have participated in this sharing session. This focus on capacity-building aligns with the broader objectives of NEA and ILO-China Partnership Programme, as they strive to enhance employability and create a workforce that can adapt to the evolving demands of the job market.

As the job fair in Phnom Penh gathers momentum, it represents a beacon of hope for both job seekers and employers, paving the way for a dynamic and prosperous job market in Cambodia.
