Description
Community-Based Enterprise Development (C-BED) is one of six of ILO’s activity-based learning programme, developed to teach aspiring entrepreneurs in hard-to-reach communities. So far, the C-BED programme has been implemented in over 60 organizations in 14 countries to support youth, women, entrepreneurs and small business owners.21st of August is World Entrepreneurs’ Day. To celebrate the reach and wide adoption of C-BED and power of entrepreneurship, this event will bring together past participants, partners and organizers to share their experiences and feedback as well as future hopes for interactive business trainings as key to build community and opportunities.
The event will include presentations from Japan, Cambodia, Bangladesh and Fiji where participants will highlight their experiences during and after the C-BED training. It will be followed by a Q&A session where audience members are able to ask questions related to activity-based learning, entrepreneurship and implementing C-BED during uncertain COVID-19 times.
The webinar is open to all and would be of particular interest to key enterprise actors such as UN agencies, development partners, workers’ and employers’ organizations, civil organizations, BDS providers and policymakers. In addition, we encourage young people from across Asia and the Pacific to join and learn about ILO’s C-BED and activity-based learning programmes.
