Improving Financial Institutions’ Micro-insurance Offering Training
The International Labour Organization (ILO) will run a pilot course aimed at helping microinsurance service providers to identify ways to improve their products and delivery services to low income households.
The ILO is pilot testing a new training course on “Improving Financial Institutions’ Micro-insurance Offering” in the Philippines on 11-12 April 2013.
The course aims to help micro-insurance services providers—banks, mutual benefit associations, micro-finance institutions, cooperatives, non-government organizations, identify ways to improve their products and delivery services to low income households.
Seasoned trainers from the ILO’s Microinsurance Innovation Facility, Cheryl Frankiewicz and Aparna Dalal, will run the course. Twenty-five micro-insurance practitioners from various parts of the country are expected to participate.
