Implications of the Covid-19 Crisis for Labour and Employment in India: Impact, Strategies and Perspectives
The virtual conference organised by International Labour Organization (ILO), the Institute for Human Development (IHD), and the Indian Society of Labour Economics (ISLE) on 8-9 June, 2020.
International Labour Organization (ILO), the Institute for Human Development and the Indian Society of Labour Economics (ISLE) are organising a Virtual Conference on “Implications of the Covid-19 Crisis for Labour and Employment in India: Impact, Strategies and Perspectives" during 8-9 June 2020 on the Zoom platform.
The Conference discussions will be organized around three broad themes:
Impact of Covid-19
Strategies to deal with the impact
Perspectives for the future
The conference will be held in four sessions, each built around a Webpanel discussion. Each Webpanel will consist of five presentations of about 15 minutes each, followed by a question and answer session.
In the beginning of the Conference a presentation based on a survey of ISLE members on Covid-19 and Implications for Labour and Employment will be made.
