ILO/China Partnership Programme and Hainan Technician College Enrich Cambodian TVET with Mechatronics Training

In a remarkable collaboration aimed at fostering technological advancement and empowering digital skills, the ILO/China Partnership Programme and Hainan Technician College joined forces to provide comprehensive Mechatronics training to 22 trainers and participants, including 5 female professionals, from the National Polytechnic Institute of Angkor

Held online over five intensive weeks from June to July 2023, this groundbreaking initiative sought to equip participants with a solid foundation in Mechatronics, covering crucial areas such as pneumatic systems, electropneumatic technology, sensor integration, drive systems, and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) technology.

Throughout the five-week program, participants embarked on a journey of exploration and hands-on learning, guided by renowned industry experts and experienced instructors and coaches for World Skills Competition. By equipping teachers and students with a comprehensive understanding of mechatronics principles, this training initiative has unlocked opportunities for NPIA to upgrade their faculty capacity.

The ILO/China Partnership Programme and members of South-Sought Cooperation Skills Development Network continue to organize green skills and digital skills courses in the promotion of a smooth school-to-work transition.
